The Korean national team participating in the Asian Cup Women’s University Softball marked the beginning of the match with a victory.
On the 14th local time, in the 2022 3rd Women’s University Softball Asia Cup Qualifier 1st leg held at the Pattaya Rugby School Stadium in Thailand, the Korean University Softball National Team defeated India 10-0, the 4th runaway match (baseball’s cold game win), the first win.
The national team is No. 1 Kim Soo-bin (center fielder, Incheon Sports Association), No. 2 Jung Yeon-woo (second baseman, Gyeongnam Sports Association), No. 3 Jeong Song-hee (catcher, Incheon Sports Association), No. 4 Hong Si-yeon (DP, Daegu Metropolitan City Corporation), No. 5 Joo Hyo-joo ( 1st baseman, Daegu Metropolitan City Corporation), 6th Lee Soo-hyun (left fielder, Dankook University), 7th Kim Go-eun (right fielder, Gyeongnam Athletic Association), 8th Cho Yun-ji (3rd baseman, Dankook University), and 9th Kim Na-eun (shortstop, Sangji University) Lee Jae-hwa (Sangji University) was the starting pitcher. 메이저놀이터
Korea took the lead from the first inning and brought the atmosphere. Kim Soo-bin’s single and Jeong Yeon-woo’s bunt resulted in the first two points being scored by the opposing team’s mistake. Following Jung Song-hee’s double, Joo Hyo-joo scored an extra point with a hit through left-center. Score 3-0.
At the end of the second inning, Kim Na-eun, Kim Soo-bin, and Jung Yeon-woo continued on base, and Jeong Song-hee brought the lead runner home with a timely hit. Afterwards, Hong Si-yeon’s 3-point home run and the opposing team’s error earned 1 point, further widening the score gap to 8 points.
At the end of the third inning, the national team ended the game early with Kim Soo-bin and Jung Song-hee hitting solo homers.
In the top of the 4th inning, Park Min-kyung (Dankook Univ.) took the mound and treated India’s batting line with a three-way kick, giving the Korean national team their first win of the tournament. In the Korea Baseball Softball Association, Vice President Kim Eun-young is supporting the women’s softball team.
