“Roh Moo-hyun killed himself after quarreling with his wife” claimant Jung Jin-seok finally refutes “Park Won-soon claim”

South Korean lawmaker Chung Jin-seok, who is on trial for defamation of late President Roh Moo-hyun, has clarified that he “did not intend to hurt Roh or others스포츠토토.”

“Six years ago, then-Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon and others made a claim that ‘former President Lee Myung-bak killed former President Roh in political retaliation,'” Chung told reporters after the first day of the trial at the Seoul Central District Court. “As a person who closely assisted former President Lee, I could not accept the claim and thought it was the opposite of the truth, so I wrote a post on Facebook in the process of refuting former Mayor Park’s claim,” he said.

“There is no reason to hurt the feelings of former President Roh or his bereaved family members or to slander them,” he added, explaining that it could be excused because it was a political battle with Park.

“In September 2017, after President Roh’s wife, Kwon Yang-sook, and son were investigated by prosecutors for receiving millions of dollars in bribes from Park Yeon-cha, Kwon ran away after a fight, and President Roh, who was left alone that night, took his own life,” Chung wrote on his Facebook page.
