In the second half of the game, in the beginning of the 8th inning, the Pittsburgh defense scored one more point by fielder selection, and in the top of the 9th, Bellinger’s 2 RBIs and a timely double came out again, putting a wedge in the game.

Bellinger went 5-for-5 with 3 hits and 5 RBIs, and became the number one contributor to the Cubs’ victory. Javier Assad, who took the mound as a starter, pitched well with 7 innings and 1 run.
